A little bio
Hello there!
My name is Ezequiel Romero and I am Director of Photography whose work has taken him around the world shooting tv shows, commercials, music videos, documentaries and feature films.
My first feature film, “Imperial Blue”, shot in 1017, and my book “Manual de Cine Indie” both came out with great reviews. In 2018, “Sad Hill Unearthed” was nominated for best feature documentary at the Goyas, the Spanish Academy Awards.
Lately I’ve kept shooting some cool stuff, with a series a shot in India (Us&Them) coming out shortly, plus many other things, including a documentary short (and now feature) about children born of war that I shot in Uganda.
I’ve continued to work in a wide range of projects and genres in the UK, where I’m based, and around the world, from Europe to Africa to Indian and Bollywood films.
I have a passion for adventure projects and for grounded and powerful visual storytelling and my skills expand into VFX, editing and grading while writing and directing my own projects every once in a while.
I gained recognition for my cinematography in the critically acclaimed comedy political series “El Partido” (“The Councillor”). MY films such as “Moon Dust” have won awards and have been described as “into the awesome category” by outlets like IO9. Sundance TV described my experimental feature, “Nova” as “groundbreaking”. This translates into brand work with BMW, Mini, Lenovo, Vodafone, Axe (Lynx), Acer and Paramount Channel, Movistar or El Corte Inglés to name a few.
I work regularly as camera operator, including underwater (I’m a passionate diver) and I worked for years as camera assistant/focus puller.
